Lance Ludwig, CFP®
True to my childhood, I will always be a small-town country boy at heart. My Mathematics and Education college Majors were wonderful foundations, but teaching High School Math was not the role God made me for. He led me to a profession change after greatly enjoying serving as a church Benevolence Counselor and earning my Master of Finance Degree.
Over the past nine years, a deep passion for guiding families in financial decisions for the glory of God has only continued to deepen. He has endowed me with an actual enjoyment for delving into details, navigating complexity, and crafting strategic plans. Most meaningfully, the genuine love shared in teaching and guiding married couples in the pursuit of God's purpose for their lives motivates my professional service.
It is the convergence of these passions and talents through financial planning as a Certified Financial Planner™ professional that I believe fulfills a significant aspect of the calling God has for my life.

I am a child of God, husband, and father who likes getting a few rounds of golf in when I can. As a family, Carrie, Lincoln, and I love to read, take walks, or bike together. We greatly enjoy living in our rural country home. The business was actually almost named Red Barn Financial due to our country roots until God gave us a more meaningful name.

I grew up just outside a small town near Iowa and Wisconsin: Lanark, Illinois. There were 54 students in my public-school graduating class. It was and is a wonderful little community. We now live in South Bend, IN which is close to my wife’s family, and we greatly enjoy it as well.

It feels quite vulnerable to share, but my wife and I have always had starting an orphanage as our biggest goal. It feels so far out of reach, and we don’t even know for sure if that is from God or not, but it has been on the list from year one of marriage and is still on our hearts today.

It might take a book to fully answer this question. I love to learn and could easily list hundreds of people, books, classes, or podcasts.
